Maximum Vehicle Height
In the coming weeks, with the progress of this new phase of works, there will be a need to temporarily reduce the maximum height allowed for vehicles to pass under the Adib Chammas viaduct. Currently this limit is 5.5 meters and will pass to 4.3 meters in the two lanes on the right of the avenue of the States, in both directions, and to 4.7 meters in the other lanes. The Department of Traffic Engineering (DET) will disclose the changes in advance to drivers.
Once the new limit is adopted, which should occur in mid-June, trucks with height between 4.3 and 4.7 meters must necessarily use the two lanes on the left of the avenue of the States. DET agents will provide support at busy times to direct drivers.
In the approach of the work, as a form of safety and to avoid the contact of tall vehicles with the structures running, signs will be installed alerting to height limitation.
